Thanks Dude.... I have the latest firmware as far as I know... It was one of the later P800s prior to the P9 launch, which pretty much killed updates on the P8 AFAIK...

I'm thinking it is something to do with the builtin bluetooth on my toshiba laptop... Although it is weird that the phone seems to respond to PhoCo... Is there any other way I might try to debug this?

    Thanks!

You could take the logfile and enter the commands you find there using HyperTerminal and see what happens.

Thanks for all your help Zorro... If you dont mind working with me a bit, I hope to get this going, it will be a great addition to my carpc...

OK, I ended up connecting the P800 through the serial cable to iron out any BT incompatibilities...

Now I'm using COM4. I can access it through hyperterminal. AT+GMI gives me SONY ERICSSON, and AT+GMM gives me P800...

I'm getting a timeout again on the Phonecontrol, and I tried getting the command that is on the logfile and putting that in hyperterminal but I get an OK from it...

Is there anything else one can try at this point?

    Ok, let's try this:
Place <UseReset>False</UseReset> into your <Communication> section.
This should at least help to get over the first sequence... then we'll se how far we get.

You can send me the logfiles dircet to phonecontrol at zoran-horvat.de

Well, CDMA phones do cause a few problems.
    Check CDMA Phones

I guess you'll have to try and see.

I cant say for sure but the T608 is the US version of the T600 which is also a SE phone. I'd say there is a 80% chance.
