So there is absolutely no way to prevent it? Not by setting up bluetooth differently between the phone and the carputer? I thought i saw in some screenshot a prompt for 'answer call' or not...?

Nope. The only way (I guess) is the SDK... but thats another story which already has been discussed.

So (sorry to be so redundant) current users of phonecontrol, have their car answer phone calls automatically? Without any user intervention?

I guess...

With bluetooth i made same conclusion with my p800, but with irda i was able to use PhoCo without sms and even sim card phonebook. try irda with ircomm if possible.

Anyway, I just thought I would offer a couple of other software ideas for people:

1) Mobileways Remote p900 - here - this allows you to control EVERYTHING on the phone via bluetooth or syncstation from a PC, there is a slight time lag but it is definitely worth considering. Theoretically you could use the phone's camera as a reversing cam.

(PS. The same software is also available for S60 phones such as Nokia 6600, Nokia N-Gage & Siemens SX1)

2) If you can get PhoCo to work with basic functions then you could also look at Mobileways DesktopMessage - here - this allows sms message control from the PC and has auto popup functionality.

Anyway, don't want to take anything away from you Zorro, your software is immense, if only it was fully compatible with UIQ phones!

Sure, no problem with that. Since PhoCo isn't workin with Symbian, you're not taking anything away

BTW: I'm well aware of this software and I've tried to contact the developer(s) in order to ask for a cooperation between DesktopMessage and PhoCo...

Unfortunately, they never answered my mail... life's a *****
