It only does with some phones. My old nokia 6310i did the same.

I think is a confusion with the decimal point. Edit the skin and make sure every font size is a integer.

The dial and hangup buttons only work on some ocasions, the rest of the time they are disabled. They are active when a call arrives, hangup during a call, dial while on manual dial.

As mofo said, install other skin and lets clear this out

Coming release of PhoCo will be able to read all numbers from V6xx and T7xx. This has been tested yet with a V600.

Oh man, I can't wait for the new version.

Also, if anyone cares how to get internet thru bluetooth of a v600 heres how i got it working:
I have 4.99 T-zones service, I dont know you if you have to have it for this to work.
Open Internet Explorer or whatever web browser you like.
Using your phone as a dialup bluetooth modem, dial into *99***1#
    Use username: <yourmobile#>@vzw3g.com password: vzw
Baud rate should be 115200 if i'm not mistaken.

So far thats been working for me, please let me know what results you get..

I have a V600 (Cingular) and have looked at the PhoneCtl.PB.xml file. It is importing all of the phone numbers from the V600, but it is not populating the "TYPE", so that everything is being displayed as a "mobile" number, and for those names with more than one entry, it only displays the last in the xml file. For example PhoCo is only displaying the email address as a "Mobile" number.

I want to make sure I understand.

I looked in the compatibility guide and it mentions <UseCNMI mode="3,1">True</UseCNMI> for the Motorola V600, which I assume means my phone needs "special initialization"

    From your FAQ
My phone needs an special initialization. How can I do that?
Open the PhoneCtl.Config.xml, and go to the <Communication> with the id contained in <UseCommConfig> Then insert (or modify) the tag <AdditionalInit> by entering the initialization sequence you need, without the leading "AT" command. If you mobile phone needs a un-init sequence as well, enter this within tag <AdditionalDeinit >. Whether it's working or not, you'll see in the PhoneCtlLog.txt file.
When I went to the Motorola section of the "PhoneCtl.Config.xml" file, <UseCNMI mode="3,1">True</UseCNMI> was already there, so I didn't change anything. Did I need to chnage something. I don't know of any special initialization commands.

My good Pcs are currently being used (kids & their friends) so I'm sitting at my 4 year old daughter's PC (Win98) and worse, I'm sitting at her micro-desk typing this so I don't have access to the log file right now.

    EDIT:

Kids to bed and log file sent via email

thanks for all of your hard work Z

I may be a 1 day noob with BT, but I have been tinkering with Zorro's PhonCo as well as Motorola's Phone Tools enough to think that I need some cheering up.

It seems that each program connects the V600 to the PHONE'S Dial Up Networking (DUN) gateway via the PC's "Bluetooth Modem". (Device Manager>Modems>Bluetooth Modem: Com Port 4)

Unfortunately it appears that when the phone is using it's DUN gateway, it locks out other bluetooth functionality, like the Audio Gateway. ARG!!!!

It's my understanding that you can't voice dial a V600 from a bluetooth headset. (Big complaints from ppl on that one, duh!) Given my observations, that seems to make sense in that the dialing of a number is a done via a DUN data connection and the Audio Gateway can't be run at the same time.

I should have realized this last night, as I was playing around with Motorola's Phone Tools. I couldn't believe that I could dial a # from the PC, but couldn't use the phone as the microphone and speaker, I had to pick up the phone to talk. Although I have succesfully dialed via PhonCo/Phonetools, shut the S/W down, and then manually activated the audio gateway to use the PC's speaker & microphone, just to see if it worked. but obviously that's not practical.

Oh boy, I sure hope I'm wrong.

Here for everyone who didn't read the "Recent changes", here is how your settings in PhoneCtl.Config.xml has to look like:

    <Communication id="Motorola">
    <Port>...</Port>
    <Setting>38400,N,8,1</Setting>
    <Vendor>Motorola</Vendor>
    <PhoneBookLocation>AD</PhoneBookLocation>
    <UseCNMI mode="2,1">True</UseCNMI>
    <UseCharset>8859-1</UseCharset>
    <UseClip>True</UseClip>
    <UseCLCC>True</UseCLCC>
    <Keypad quote="True" terminate="False">-MVTS</Keypad>
    <PBRead>+MPBR</PBRead>
    <IgnoreMS>True</IgnoreMS>
    </Communication>

The red ones are the major changes for the handling of the extended Motorola phonebook.
