Hey guys,
In the documentation it says PhoneControl is able to pause frodoplayer, wmp, and winamp, but it's not doing that for me. Is there something that needs to be configured to get this to work? If so, what?
Thanks,
Dan
Hi,
I recently was in mail-contact with Zorro the guy who created the software.
The way I understood this:
You have to have a rather recent version of the widcomm-drivers in order to support headset-profile on your PC. I did not see the headset-profile on the version 1.22 but when I went to 1.4 the headset profile appeared in the list of bluetoth services on my pc.
But, your phone also needs to support headset-profile to be able to use the headset-service on your PC. Sony/Ericson-phones seems to be the best choice in order to get this to work.
Please correct me if I am wrong in how this works as I am looking to replace my Nokia with a phone that supports the headset-profile...

(Zorro, dont mean to be a pain, but just wanted to know if you got my e-mail with my files as per your request?
Just to confirm, I understand if you cant help me now...)
Anyways: What phone would you recommend I purchase to leave in the car or use eventually? I wanted to control all functions, SMS, etc, plus would like to integrate it as much as possible with the phonecontrol software, and also, I wanted to have more info about how the bluetooth works in terms of answering calls, and speaking handsfree... What bluetooth adapters (USB) would integrate with a phone?? How does it work? What is the limitation that I have seen talked about here? Also of interest is RF, and price of this phone... I just want to have as much functionality as possible!
Thanks
Yes, I did and I sent you an answer right away. It got an attachment... so you might take a look into your Spam Filter folderOriginally Posted by RoyN
If you didn't get it, please let me know.
Skinning to go... VisualDesigner2!
Sorry Kevin... forgot to tell you that the new release has built it in
But as the documentation says: FrodoPlayer 1.0.9
Skinning to go... VisualDesigner2!
Didnt get it!
Can you try to resend it? I'll keep my eye out... unfortunately I clean out my spam folder regularly, and I didnt see it...
I'll be more careful in future, but I really did look to see if I was throwing something I shouldnt out, but it didnt catch my eye... weird...Please resend!
Thanks!
It was merely the next release of PhoCo, which you can get from my website now.
I suspected that the version you have wouldn't regcognize the <UseReset> command because you still had the ATZ command in your logfile.
So, get the new version (you'll need the binaries only) and extract it into the PhoCo directory. Then try it again and hopefully you won't see any ATZ command anymore
Then tell me how far you got.
Skinning to go... VisualDesigner2!
IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But when trying to manually initiate a call, upon pressing the "Send" button (green phone), I get a message "Reading phonebook" (This is in trying to start a manual call), and then I get a windows error... Here is the error that comes in the "Details".
It then gives me the option of closing the app or continuing... if I continue it doesnt place a call. My RF level is displayed and so is the SIM phonebook... Phone phonebook isnt coming in dunno why...
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.
