Then, please next time be more precisly with your requests.

Get the latest version of PhoCo (the one with the multiple phonebooks) and configure the first phonebook as static="False". This will reload the phonebook each time you start PhoneControl.

thanks again, ill play with that. i have remote desktop working so as long as the car is in the driveway i have a keyboard . btw, ive been trying searches, but the forum only appears to go back to april 24th. i have all my settings configured to view all topics from the beginning of time. i checked the archive group as well. thanks for your support, i know what a pain in the butt it is to answer the same questions over and over. undoubtedly ill have more, ill keep trying to RTFM and search before bugging you.

    manual dial buttons blank

zorro, i absolutly dread posting this. i could have sworn i'd seen the answer to this before but a search of this forum on blank, blank buttons or manual dial turns up nothing.

i click manual dial and the only buttons that are labelled are the #, * and a couple of others. am i missing a font or something?

    please don't hurt me! *cringe*

It's ok. As I said, be more specific next time, then I'll be more specific with my answers

If you don't want PhoCo to read the phonebook every time you start it, you can write a batch to delete the phonebook (PhoneCtl.PB.xml). If this file is missing when PhoCo starts, it'll read it from the phone.

I did it this way (buffering on the local disc), because a phonebook that has about 500 entires can take up to 3 minutes to read it. This can become very anoying.

Try to load the skin into the designer and check the font settings (especially the font size - there should be no "." or "," in between). If you don't see the button labels there as well, try to change the font.

Yes, you're heading to be the first one with a big "Z" carved on his chest

I suppose it's rather the font size then the font itself (Windows would use a similar font). What design did you configure?
