    Mic an line in problem

    Hey Zorro,
First hats off on the great app.
I am running Media Car, with the USB radio. The problem is that USB radio requires the line in to be selected as the recording device in volume control. It works trough a Winamp plug in, it records the stream from the radio, and then plays it at the same time. The media car then can mute the radio when it leaves to another module ( MP3 for example). Now in order for the mic to work with Phone Control, it also has to be a recording device RIGHT??? ( at least that is what I figure). So its imposible to have both the radio and the mic working.
Now my request is, if posible to have Phone control switch the recording device to mic when it receives/place a call.
If any other solutions come to anyones mind I am open for suggestions.

    PhoneControl itself isn't recording anything.
AFAIK, the Headset Profile of your Widcomm Software is using the configured "Voice" input device (which might be the same as "Audio" by default). So it's supposed to be working even if anything is recording on line in.

I have, for other reasons, a USB mic connected which is used as Headset device.
This might work for you as well.

Hmm, its not working like that for me. I have my USB radio connected to the line-in, and line-in is selected as a recoding device in volume properties. Now I have the mike connected to the mic input, but when I place a call, I can hear the other caller, but he can't hear me. If I change the recording device from line-in to mic, the other caller can hear me.
How do I access the audio settings for the headset (I am using Widdcom V3).

On a different tread, I was suggested to use stereo mix as the recording device, but I'm at work so I will try that later in the day. I don't know how will either software (Mediacar and Phone Control) respond to that
