One reason for that might be the firmware version.
I've tried it as well (including the preceeding S) and it's just as he reported. If you're in another menu it does switch to the main screen but on the first ":J" it doesn't display the options dialog.
Anyway, good to know that it's working with your phone (since I didn't find another workaround) . What firmware version do you have?
