Palmone/Treo 650 - almost working

I just got a 650... I'm going to go get a BT adapter today. Has no one else here played around with it yet? I'd love to get web and phonecontrol to work on a pc through the PDA.

I was so excited to see your post but I see that we are still all alone. I've been really busy and tried connecting using the DUN profile but phonecontrol doesn't load, and the DUN hack on the treo is far from being stable. you can get the hacked bluetooth.prc from www.shadowmite.com Give it a try and c what happens. The treo doesn't support a serial port profile except for when you hotsync, and then I'm not sure what port it uses. Any ideas?

OK... well i installed the DUN ROM from Shadowmite. I haven't played with dialing up to internet yet, but I did get a little to work with Phonecontrol.

I paired up my treo with the bluetooth adapter on my computer. I turend on dial up networking in bluetooth on the palm. Then I discovered the palm's dial up networking, which created a port 5. I edited the xml file using the settings posted by Zorro, but changed the port to 5 and the speed to 115200.

I was able to get phone control to dial a number, but that was it. Actually I'm not even sure I know what was supposed to happen. The phone gave no appearance to having done anyting and the software merely showed a red hang up button. However, the phone that I dialed (my land line) started to ring, so I know it at least dialed the number.

Zorro, can you give us any more insight? Please?

This seems not to be the right COM port. Every command gets a timeout.

What else can I do? Bluetooth is set up on Com 3 and I get the same response whether I DUN connect to it or do a hotsync and then run phonecontrol.

I just got this phone (Sprint Version) I cant get it to work. I can't create a serial port connection with bluetooth to use. when i search for available devices, my phone comes up with only OBEX as an available connection option.

I tried the DUN hack, and used the port that it assigned as the modem - I was able to make 1 outgoing call, but then it stopped working - but nothing more like caller id, phoen book, etc

I see there is a custom profile for this phone at Phonecontrol's website. So it must work right? How can I solve this?
