    ERRORAT+CSCS=?;+CRC=?;+CLIP=?;+CNMI=?;+CMER=?<cr>< lf>

But all of the other lines give me the ResString error. I've installed widcomm4 and my Nokia Suite works fine with the pc. I have port 7 selected in the config.

ResString error means: There is no respose on opening the port.
If it works with the Suite, why don't you try COM7?
I'm using the latest PhoneTest (28Feb05) with the same results. Also, I AM using port 7 (port=com, right?). I updated all the requisites from the Windows Update site. I deinstalled and reinstalled but no luck yet. If I run PhoCo, it comes up, initializes the phone, and loads the phonebook (but no listings appear). The only thing I can do in it is select "dial manually". But even when I do this and click the green phone icon, it says "dialing number..." but then the green icon goes grey and nothing happens. I bought PhoCo several days ago and now I'm trying to install it. Should've done it the other way around I guess.

If you say it starts up send me your logfile.

BTW: You know, that on the 6230 you have to get your phonebook generated by PBConverter. As long as you don't have a vaild phonebook, almost no function will work...
Hopefully the next update will support native Nokia ohonebooks.

And yes, you should have done it the other way around... however, be ensured that PhoCo is working with your phone. It's just adjustment.

After reading ALL the posts on the other forum (which I should have done first ) I see the Nokia/phonebook issue. Hopefully a future version will handle this but I'm going to experiment with setting it up to use the Outlook phonebook once I get a working installation. Everything looks fine in my device manager (I see com6 and com7 with no errors) but if I use the test program to open device manager I get "MMC cannot open the selected file". The attached log file shows a lot of timouts but I don't know just why.

Hey Zorro. This is a quick recommendation. I live in the US and the Euro/USD conversion is horrific. The price in US dollars for the PhoCo 1.4 is $35.30. In my opinion, that's a little too high if you want this program to have wide appeal. I would almost say $25 would be a perfect pricepoint.

A higher price might drive some idiots to create keygens and such. It's just a friendly suggestion. Also, Zorro, does the license allow free upgrades to future versions?

You have to subtract the 16% tax that is added to each license. So, you shouldn't have to pay more then $28.

I know, people use keygens to copy software (it's not my first project )... but I have the option to bind a license to a machine

Yes, future updates will be free for licensed users as long as it's not a major change in the software. In this case licensed users will get a special update price.

Please get this tool: http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/fr...ebugview.shtml and install (extract) it, run it and enable to "Log to file" option. I'll send you a special Debug version.

    Zorro,

I traded out my Treo 650 for a ppc-6600(Windows Mobile SE phone). I know you have stated that there is currently no support. Just for *****s and giggles I set up a serial port profile and ran the testphone app. Of course, it didn't work. Is there going to be any development with the PocketPC platform that I should even hope for? It looks like you have plenty of testers out there.... Thanks a lot!

Yes, it is hope for Windows Mobile phones. But it's a very complex thing (a lot stuff to do) so I'll gonna make some less complex tasks before (such as Nokia phonebooks, once I get my testing device).

It's not that I ran out of testers ... rather of time
