7" LCD, a keyboard and now cell phone. wonder whats next...
Ok i know how to hook my samsung x427m to my computer. Thats no big deal. The problem is when you want to disassemble the phone and install the screen, mic, menu, end and send buttons in the steering wheel; while locating the number panel elsewhere in the car. Like in a custom flip open panel in the arm rest.
If im good with a soldering iron can i just solder a wire to each of the contacts on the phone's number pad circuit panel and then use a whatever button pad i want? Never seen this done before and couldnt find any threads on it.
IF youre wondering the idea came from the Ludacris track where he mentions a TV in the steering wheel. I figured if i got a monitor in the dash why not have my truck be a mobile cellphone.

You can relocate the keypad just as you've described. But have you tackled the problem of the wires going through the steering wheel when it rotates? Do you have an additional clockspring to keep the wires from tangling around the column?
