Or you can go to Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services, stop both Bluetooth services, then open Task Manager and kill "BTTray.exe" - then you can safely overwrite the files without rebooting to safe mode.
1) Unzip the Widcomm installer
2) in the Widcomm installer directory you will find a directory called SVCPACK, put your patched files in there
3) Replace the SVCPACK.INI file with the one attached to this post (you will need to change the extension from .TXT to .INI as the forum wont let me upload .INI files)
4) Run the installer as normal.
This will make the installer automatically copy your cracked files before it starts any processes
