do you need to use WIDCOMM with this setup. Because after installing WIDCOMM, i can't seem to get phoco to establish a connection with my phone.

What firmware version are you talking about? I heard only the Asian ROMS had the setting for serial ports. I have 1.43 unbranded and I don't have serial port settings. Was this added to 1.43 Cingular also? I've been checking and didn't find any info saying it was added to a US ROM.

    Thanks m-ruiter!! Using your entry ....<UseBTManager device="Motorola Phone" controlHeadset="True" disconnectAfterCall="True" mode="OnCall">True</UseBTManager> did the trick.

I noticed that my calls automatically switch to audio gateway and then the headset icon appears. Then I disconnect by the touch of the headset icon and phonecontrol recycles to serial again. I have some small issues with my motorola setup but I will go to Zoran's website to post them.
You also have to activate the headset option to "on" in your mobile phone setup or at least I did.

This is on a V551J GSM motorola using Widcomm 5.0.1.801 drivers.

The switching works great, phoco drops my connection to establish audio gateway and picks it up after call ends. But but but, I still have issues where the person on the other end cannot hear me. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I can hear them, but they cannot hear me.

I just tried this and my phone dose switch to the audio gateway for a second and then drops the connection. I few seconds later it connects to serial again.

I am using a nextel i870 and I just was able to get the phoco to dial a voice call. I am using a Dlink USB dongel with the latest drivers.

Hey, I was just wondering whether that meant my V551 would work now? Last time I checked, people were having trouble with motorola and the 1 connection thing.

    I checked your

page about phones, but dont see the v551. Is it the same as the v600 or the 525 or does it not work at all?

If it works, rock on! I've been considering buying a new phone in order to get this to work.

I'm not sure about the v551 (too much firmware patches) but you can always give it a try.
