Use the settings in the V551 thread here: Getting a v551 to work

They worked fine with my V400 as well.

    Hi

I edited the config file and used your config zogg, I get all my numbers now but i cant dial any of them, the only number I can dial is my work mobile number which is on the left hand menu.

Also the SMS opens but thats it I cant view any messages etc.

Is there any settings I need to fix this?

***Tell a lie, the SMS window now has a keyboard, wierd and cool at the same time!

I haven't really played with SMS so I can't help you there. It seemed to work though.

So for a contact where you have multiple numbers stored (home, mobile, work), if you select that contact, you should then see the buttons on the left highlighted for home, mobile, work, etc. You then press that button to dial that number.

If it doesn't work then use the reload button to reload the phonebook and see what happens.

    Hi Zogg

Thanks for helpin out I appreciate it, I have it running now the phone book and SMS.

Just one more thing how do you assign numbers to "Home, Work, Other and Fax" would I best do this via Motorola phonetools and then use the reload button on Phonecontrol?

Yeah, use MPT or enter directly into the phone, then use the reload button in PhoCo.

I'm glad you got it working.
