6230i problems, callers don't hear me

I have a problem with my Nokia 6230i.

I found the post by Zorro containing the commandlines for configuration a 6230 and added those to my config. I start Phonecontrol and it recognizes my 6230i. It reads the phonebook, shows reception. I can call other persons and receive calls.

The problem is that I can't hear the other person but they can hear me.

I really searched and tried some things (as the fix for mobiles with 1bt-connection, but the 6230i has 2, doesn't it?) but it didn't help.

I use a belkin usb bluetooth adapter with the provided software (supports virtual ports). Windows XP SP2 is installed.

I just setup phoco with my 6230 too. Have the same problem as you do. By the way, it is the phone's mic that pick up your voice not your PC. So what I understand is that phoco doesn't allow you to talk or hear conversation. only phonebook reading, answering and dailing calls. I hope I am wrong but someone please give some advice.

Your BT drivers/wincomm/phone support using the PC's mic to communicate. So you can run Phoco and use your PC as handsfree as long as your equipment supports it.

I have a T616 and can hear the person and speak to them. The difference was to pair Audio Gateway from the PC to my phone and select Your PC's headset service from the phone.

Don't know if that is your set up with your kind of phone but worked for me.
Again this has nothing to do with Phoco.

just read thru that 15pages nokia thread and still confuse. I think the conclusion is that Nokia ony supports the handsfree profile and not the headset profile therefore it wont work with widcomm's audio gateway. Or it could be that Nokia only support one active bt device at one time, therefore you either activiate the serial communication w/ phoco, or activiate the voice gateway for handsfree talk w/ pc. You can't have both at the same time. If later, then the new version may provide a solution although not very user friendly. I am still confuse as to what exactly is support or need to do. There's no clear faq for nokia users. Searching for info isn't very clear, you get all these informationo and people trying different things and no one gives a clear statement. oh well, it was fun playing with it thu.

same here. well i'm using the demo version, because i want to get it to work first before i pay anything...

I'm using the trial version too. Last night it appeared to work fine but this morning, no.

I have same problem. I can hear the caller clearly through my car speakers but they can't hear me at all. It's not a mic problem because I can bring up "Sound Recorder" in Windows and record my voice just fine.. Any ideas?
