I already have the proper setting in as per m-ruters post but it still dosent work for me. The phone seems to connect to the audio gateway for a second then drops it and goes back to serial. Not sure why.

on another note, have you considered using nextels iden sdk to implement the features of the phone into your program?

No. I makes no sense for me to implement something I can't test.

Thats odd, I thought you made the program for commerical use. If thats the case why not just buy a nextel phone to use.

Zorro, I must say, that was a very discouraging comment to make. Clearly, there are many phones and many compatibility issues to address and I am not sure what your motovation is to even have made phoco what it is but clearly if this is a business or a product you are investing to sell to the public then by all means do what you need to to aquire the right hardware to develop the program a little furthur. I do have a nextel i205 phone that I can give you for development purposes if that would pursuade you but please dont avoid something because you're not going to use the feature or dont have a device to support it.

I think what zorro is trying to say is that since he lives in Germany and there is no Nextel network there, he can't test the program.

Zorro, I can still send you the phone if your interested. Not having service would only prevent you from properly testing SMS, but you could implement phonebook retrevial.

Also, what are your thoughts on this Bluetooth problem where it dosent stay on the audiogateway after a call initiates. I read the link you sent, its the same post I read from m-ruiter on here. I was trying to figure out how you were making calls to the BT manager to do the switching to audiogateway so I can simulate it outside of phoco. If this is a plain BT manager function like you said then for some reason the nextel phone is not reacting the same way as if you were to diconnect the serial and conntact audio gateway from the manager.

If reading the phonebook is the only thing I can use and test then I don't need the phone. You can use the converter to create a vaild phonebook cause it isn't something you do day by day.
Beside, the document you mentioned doesn't contain any phonebook commands at all.


As for the Bluetooth: Yes, it's the same as you do it in the BT manager. What PhoCo does is: droping the serial connection, connect the AudioGateway.

But there is a timeout that will try to reconnect after a while (15 seconds by default). Usually the reconnect doesn't work as long as the AudioGW is active. Maybe your phone behaves different and it drops the AudioGW because of the incoming serial connection.

Please send me the PhoneCtlLog.txt and I'll have a look. Please be aware that you need to establish a phonecall otherwise I don't have all information in the logfile. And also, the logfile is wiped out on each start of PhoCo.
