    Very likely.

I have found it already affects my remote central locking.

For a while I had my screen powered off the PC and it stayed when the key was out of the ignition. The range dropped to about 10 inches (25cm) above my bonnet.

Now the screen is back to being switched from the ACC so as soon as the key is out the screen goes off. Now the Remote works as normal from across the street.

Get some shielding on that/those screens.

dude! that's why! i thought my key fob battery was dying. now it works again, and "coincidentally" after i had my touchscreen switched to ACC as well.

hmm, when i moved my TPMS receiver box further back away from the touchscreen closer to my 4th sensor, it started refreshing again, though sometimes it still gets stuck with old data especially when my kids are loaded up in the back. maybe my baby boy emits some sorta of interference with his cries?

Well, I went out and bought a 6ft USB extension...I put the TPMS reciever behind the sunroof motor access door (basically, center-forward ceiling), and it's picking up the sensors and updating regularly now...Weeee!!!!
But I think left rear is still a BIT distant, as it was the slowest to update.

    All-in-all, a much better setup!!
    Thanks for the help guys!

BTW, when it was in my dash, and struggling to read the RF data, I got problems with the plugin again...sluggish CF respones, and the occassional freezing.
Seems better in this respect now, however...

Still having problems picking up the rear left sensor most times...
Would extending the antenna help, or is it s'pose to be a fix length?

i still have occasional problems with my rear left (sensor 4) updating as well. i'm wondering if it's not just an issue with the antenna reception since my rear right never has a problem and they are equidistant. maybe the way the software/hardware cycles or something?

Have you tried re-learning the sensor? You don't have relearn all of them just the one you are having issues with, this usually takes care of refresh issues. Also distance isn't everything, there are a number of causes of interference in a car so there might be something on your rear left that is causing intereference. The other option you have is to boost the antenna reception by using a more robust antenna such as one from antennafactor.com. I have a prototype here in which I was able to extend the range to almost 15m using an upgraded antenna. Hijack also has one of these prototypes and I believe MrBean also did a little upgrade himself so you may want to talk to one of them and see what they think as well.

I would not mess with the antenna length as it affects reception. 433 Mhz Antennas have to be approx 6.5 inches. If you search this thread Robby has posted the exact length in one of his posts.

Then perhaps a straight, hard-wire antenna would be better for reception? Or trying to get the wire antenna as straight as possible?
