I got this from the first post, hope it helps SNO
Sensor state (8 bits): The bits 0 and 1 of this byte contains the following information:
00 = Initial mode (Pressure is measured every 0.85 seconds and data is sent every 0.85 seconds. This sequence is repeated 256 times)
01 = Normal mode (Pressure is measured every 3.4 seconds and data is transmitted every 60 seconds)
10 = Pressure alert mode (Pressure is measured every 0.85 seconds and data is sent every 0.85 seconds. This sequence is repeated 256 times)
11 = Temperature alert mode (If the temperature exceeds 120C, the sensor device enters into the same measurement and transmitting pattern as the pressure alert mode)

Right, but that's what the receiver gets. My application "polls" the receiver for data, so unless the data changes, how does it know that it received something new?

Well technically unless something changes not much needs to be done or even if it matters. Basically what I am saying is unless the pressure drops/temp rises there is no need for anything to change and is not something I am concerned with. Nothing changes = all good with my tires. I think your app could get pretty bogged down looking for time differential changes in reporting. And if pressure does drop or temp changes, the app will reflect those changes by updating the data. Maybe I am not seeing what you want to achieve or the merits of having such info available. Clockwork or Enforcer might be able to chime in for more detail or info. Good luck SNO

I'm probably not explaining this properly. Sorry about that.

Whether or not the USB receiver actually receives a signal, it stores the last values received. I could be 100 miles away, and it will still readout 36psi on my tires. Therefore, whether the signal is lost or the data doesn't change, I have no way of knowing.
    What am I missing?

I think you might have to ask Clockwork or Enforcer on this as using Driveline as I drive I see the temperature change as tires warm up as well as the pressure slightly increases as well as tires warm up. So they are receiving the signal or polling for it somehow to have these reading updating as I drive. I think I have hit the limit as to how I can help. Send a PM to Clockwork. He said he would try and help you out, although it would be nicer to continue it here to help others in the future solve these issues. Good luck SNO

From what I can tell, there is now way of knowing from the sensor that the data is new or old.

I have just added to my version of the RRTPMS plugin a bit of code that looks for any change in the three measurements and if so updates the last updated date flag.

Whilst the pressure and battery levels may not change much, I'd be surprised if the temperature always stays the same.

So if the temperature never changes I would have to guess the data hasn't been updated for a while.

    That's the thing.

There is no one that I know that does them in the UK

I got mine in a Digital-Car group buy years ago.

    MP3Car do them.

Plus you can get them on Amazon (but it's from a US supplier and the the postage is horrendous)
