Does ELM scan software pull data from factory installed TPMS? Can these be used with factory equipment?
yes it recognizes it, and it seems to get the very first reading from the sensor each time. but 90% of the readings after that miss. I've moved the receiver all over the car to no avail. Lazy sensor indeed. Spose when i have some cash i'll swap the spare sensor with sensor 1

Thank you for the offer but its still in the tire. I was just going to swap it with the spare valve because my spare is buried beneath all my car pc stuff anyway. If for whatever reason the spare valve has a problem i may take you up on it. Thanks for the gesture though good businessman

A few question, if anyone know the answers regarding USB TPMS kit:
1. How long the batteries on the sensors are last?
2. Could this kit support more then 4 sensors at the same time? Say 6 or 8?
@ Riv: Batteries will last something like 5 years. At this point in time, I do believe the software limitation is 5 sensors - either that, or 9 sensors, can't remember now. Hardware should be capable anyway of supporting up to 9 sensors, but we will need new firmware for this - which Robby may or may not do.....
Anyway, herewith a few shots showing how I mounted Alok's TPMS receiver in my M350 Minibox case(mini-itx) - please note I've replaced the stockie antenna with something a little better, and it works fine within the passenger cabin. I have also desoldered the orginal TPMS USB socket, and soldered a cable, which connects via to a default header-block to one of the internal USB connectors to the Zotac motherboard.
NONE OF THIS is visible once the default M350 plastic bezel is attached the standard wayVery nice, and compact!
and
and a last one:
Now, all we need is either Alok or Wolfgang to redo the TPMS plugin for CF30 :flowers:
Hope this is of some help to someone.

I thought you were doing it sonic?
i attempted to do it... but converting from cf2 to cf3 AND converting from c# to vb.net became quite the chore. Couple that with the fact i have no skins NOR do i know what skins are required because i cant install the CF2 version without CF2 installed. Needless to say i'm kinda lost![]()
