Can you go? What kind of silly question is that. All meets are open to whom ever wants to show up. So to answer you question, HELL YEAH YOU CAN! I want everybody in the world with a carpc or the desire to have a carpc to come.
I was thinking maybe having some meets at the Route 66 raceway in Joliet. Perhaps we could somehow piggy back our meets with some of the regularly scheduled events already located there. Some of the larger happenings at the raceway already draw in people across the country (like the Nascar stuff).
Maybe we could find some way to meet there, and have even more exposure for our carputer stuff to those that might be interested. Some sort of tailgating party! Just a thought.

I'd go, except for two things:
1) It's too far a drive, although I do enjoy Chicago.
2) You're inviting marshmallow chickens.
Seriously, though.
I disagree with SnyperBob's idea of piggybacking a race or other large event, simply because there's so many people, so much else going on, it's tough to even get a block of space for the meet itself.
It makes for a ****ty meet when the six participants are all parked at least a half-mile from one another, which is a realistic scenario at a NASCAR race!
Well unlike some people I think even marshmellow chickens are good enough to hang out with.... lol Hell as of right now it looks like it just might be only myself. Such a big city and no one wants to do this. Maybe it's because I smell or something?
Honestly I have to agree with DarquePervert on this one. There will be hardly any parking for us to get together. Exposure sounds good, but I realy hate trying to get something going when there is something else even much larger going on. It has never worked in the past for myself. Any other time or place you have in mind? We could even go to the same place if there aren't any major events going on to where we could all park near each other.Originally Posted by SnyperBob
After reading through the other thread, It seems like alot of people live in Schaumburg including me. I think id be in reguardless but I think a Busse woods meet would be cool. I know they have pavilions and tables. Some paviliions have grilles by them as well. Might need to reserve one (Free) ahead of time.
Ill be watching this thread for updates!
Sounds like a great place. Right off of I90 too so it's easy to get to. Would you want to check and see if we need to reserve a pavilion?
i say we do it off of lagrange rd. there are plenty of forest preserves with canopys and grilles and washrooms and even lakes. theres big parking lots this way we are kind of secluded yet have all the room we need. ill look into a nice one today and let you guys know. i think you only need to reserve a canopy and get a permit if were more than 25 people. Do you think it will be that many?
i got dat ***** sittin on 22s! SUPERMAN EDITION!
