    Different PSU question

If I were to search for a complete PSU solution that ran directly off of a car's eletrical system and would power all of my computing needs in the car, what would I search for?

Do they have a special name? Anything I should look out for?

I'm not interested in building one I want one that is already built and ready to go.

    Thanks,
    Greg

Try searching the forum for Keypower.

They run about $190 and are 250 Watt but it should do just about anything you need in the car!

    PC Power and Cooling

I haven't had much luck with them, went through 4 (all lasting about 1 day) but others have had much success.

The wattage is only around 100 watts, I think that might have been part of my problem. Not really sure, just got tired of messing with them.

I bought the PC Power and Cooling one a month ago.

    Seems good.

Right now it only draws between 3.8 and 4 amps according to my home built 12v supply...
