Thread: Power Inverter Auto Power Off

First find a good connection point to the Accessories (Acc) signal which should only be on (12v) when the key is in the on position.

Option 1
If your inverter does not have a power switch connect the 12v supply wire going to the inverter to the relay. Next connect the Acc to one side of the relay's coil and the other side to a grounding point.

Option 2
If your inverter has a power switch, connect the switch's wires to the normally open contacts of the relay. Next connect the Acc to one side of the relay's coil and the other side to a grounding point.

You can find a good selection of relays at an auto part store, I got one yesterday for $6.
