Does sound like a faulty board then mate - have you visually 'inspected' it? Did you get it from a decent retailer? or a dodgy ebayer ?

i bought it from here (mp3car.com)...i just want to make sure it is actually broken before i ask to RMA it.

when i opened up the package, there was a jumper pin bent on it...but it wasnt touching another pin so i didnt think too much about it since in the wiring diagram, that pin is used for the 20second startup/shutdown and i wasnt going to use that...i am using the 10 second...

    what do you think?

    i bought it on March 24th 2007...

Ahh you're allright, you bought it from a decent store, just RMA it. No probs.

I mean, if you really can't be bothered, I'm sure you could probably invent something to do the job, but when it's supposed to be sorted by the PSU, you're just adding more complexity, more to go wrong in the future. I know it's annoying, but if I were you, i'd RMA it.

Thanks dude...ill give MP3car a call tomorrow and get an RMA number...or whenever they are open again (its a holiday tomorrow)

i probably shouldnt have delayed RMAing it anyways...the motherboard fried in my trunk and i had to RMA it to MSI...i have to wait 3 weeks for it...bastards...no immediate replacement like Newegg...

How do you have the jumpers for the remote leads set? And how long have you waited for the remotes to go on? Another thing you should check is how much current you are actually drawing from them. These remotes cant support much current, I had that problem myself.

i already sent the PSU in for RMA. i tested all jumper settings according to the downloadable user guide for the 250W PSU from the Opus webpage. there was absolutely 0 (zero) volts leaving the remote lines to turn anything on connected to the remote lines. its supposed to send 12V to the device its supposed to turn on.

i waited at least an hour for it to turn on on one occasion. i was driving to work with no sound, and i was too lazy to get out and jump my amplifier from the power line to the remote input to "hotwire" my amp. that same day i took it to Best Buy and tested it with a multimeter and thats how i found out there was no current going through the remote lines...

You wouldn’t get a reading, because it doesn’t send a constant signal. Otherwise it would be turning on and off!

The M1/M2-ATX do the same thing. It’s not sending enough of a punch to work. Just hook it to a fuse and if you have problems with a pop, add a relay to introduce a delay.
