Thread: Interter-UPS-PC..anything missing?

If I read you right, you trying to connect from the car's battery -> Inverter -> UPS -> AC-PSU -> Mobo. If that the case, before you going further, try to plug in the inverter and the UPS to see if the 2 working nicely in the car.
UPS in known to NOT WORKING with sqarewave inverter.

The trouble is.... the path you picked is not simple. The parts you have probably will not work together. Re-read the post by MatrixPC.

Then start reading the Power Supply section for a couple ideas on what to use for correct results.

As it stands we could tell you and you would just argue that you already have the hardware for what you want.... and it will circle around making you upset and lead to flames.

Please go read and get the right background.

To make it short. The UPS and inverter you have in your hand will NOT working together. Basically, you can only use the inverter.
Read up the FAQ section regarding to power supply. To get more idea.
You can use inverter, Tank circuit, 2ndary battery together but you can't use inverter (square wave) and UPS. Unless you pay for big $$$$ for a sinewave inverter.

Many times people come onto this forum trying to apply their computer knowledge to the car, without realizing that there are two different kinds of electricity (AC and DC). Generally, you cannot take ideas for AC and apply them to DC.

I'll suggest what the others have suggested. You really need to read up on this stuff to learn that things are different between the car and the desk.

There are specific products that exist to make a PC work in a car. People have developed them for a reason and they work.
