    OPUS 90 prob

OK, before I get jumped on for posting this, I have searched but I fell asleep without finding my answer.

I've connected my system up, OPUS flashes as it should do, once every so often. Cannot get my PC to fire up tho.

I only just realised about the green/white wire and have connected that, I just can't figure our what the problem is. I'm a complete noob and no doubt I've forgotten something patently obvious!

    PLEASE HELP!!

You might try reversing the green/white wire.
some motherboards are picky about the polarity of that.

Also, is the Opus PSU in "dumb PSU" mode? There's a jumper setting for that, I believe.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Thanks, I've tried the green/white both ways.

    Dumb question: What's Dumb mode?!

The PSU doesn't utilize the startup/shutdown controller at all. You'd use dumb mode if you controlled startup/shutdown with a power switch, just like with your desktop PC.

So I'm assuming that's something that gets altered via bios or windows?

The jumper is ont he PSU iitself.
You might try going to Opus' website and downloading the manual.

Already on to it, I think I forgot to amend the ACPI settings and power settings on BIOS and windows. I've got the manual for the PSU, only jumper setting is for the power down mode!

Looks like my problem could be with the Mobo. I've connected the standard PSU and control board to the PC, pressing the switch illuminates the power LED but the rest of the board is dead. No fan or other signs of life. Doing a hard power off kills the LED.
Is there any way of checking the function of the Mobo to see if the problem lies there or in another piece of hardware?
I can't understand it, it was functioning last time I checked but that was 6 months ago!!

Well, when I switch on the PC, the only response I get is the power LED and a momentary twitch in the fans, nothing else. I've tried resetting the CMOS but still nothing..... Any ideas?
