You can use an inverter , or replace your PSU with any dc-dc vehicle PSU
400Watt CarPC power supply for powerfull systems- thaks for Beta testers- it was perfect.

Remember - AMD Athlon XP (socket A) powers from 5v rail in most times !

Or a DC/DC PSU like a Carnetix P2140, Opus , or other that will power your rig. See the FAQs

Usually I give advice raher than what I'm about to say:

This really is a pretty basic knowledge which indicates you need to do a little research before continuing. There's reams of info on this site, take advantage of it by using the search button.

I'll start off your quest with this though:

DC-DC psu or if you really don't have much technical knowledge, inverter.

If you're looking for a "what do I do" for everything, perhaps you should find a shop or someone to do it for you.

    Cheers

Plenty of people have used them with good and bad results. There is a lot of information on this site, you just have to look for it.

Look for true sine wave inverters. Everything else is modified sine wave.

true sine wave inverters produce ac current the same as what comes out of your wall socket.

    Google.

    They ain't cheap though......

A modifed sine wave can work, it's just not he best option and can lead to noise.

if you don't care about any of this, head on down to walmart (or whatever department store in your area). they'll all be modified sine wave though.

Is this a desktop or laptop?

If it's a laptop, just get the car adapter for it.
