    Unhappy Opus Dead??????

Hey everyone. ok so i took my car computer out for about a week, it was just sitting in my room while i went on vacation and the car was just parked outside. I came back and first thing i did was put my car computer back in. hooked it all up and when it powers on, it stays on for two seconds, fans spin, case lights are on, then turns off and repeats this process over and over again. i have tried everything, checked all the wiring, case connections, unplugged and replugged the opus to everything. i dont know what is wrong. HELP PLEASE!!! just some info, i have the opus 150 powering one SATA HD, DVDRW drive and my screen, everything worked great without a flaw before for months.

thanks in advance to anyone who helps!! I hope its not hte opus

You have the battery in while plugging in and taking it out? See any magic blue electrical sparks? If so, then probably. Always remove 1 terminal from the battery. It takes a second and it prevents this.

Other than that if nothing has changed, perhaps your battery is too low. Do you have a deep cycle or regular crap walmart battery? I just yesterday got back from vacation and put my deep cycle battery back in. It took a second to crank it instead of the normal turn and vroom. It was turn crank crank crank vroom. And that was only a week and a bit.

So drive around a while, recharge it to full and see if it helps.

By cheap I did not mean money. I meant cheap as in crap.

$100 in walmart buys you something different than $100 in gucci.

The battery you bought, is it a deep cycle. Commonly called Yellow Top or Red Top which is the same as calling tissue paper Kleenex. Also known as a marine battery.
