    Grounding and shielding

I am thinking of adding CNX-2140 to my setup and place it in the trunk (next to my laptop), so I have two question:

    1) Do I need to shield power cable running from the battery to the converter if it runs along video and audio cables ?

    2) Do I ground it to any metal in the trunk or I can just easily run (-) line from the battery along with (+) ?

You can;t shield DC power cables. But do use shielded AV cables.

I'd ground to a solid chassis bolt in the trunk - remembering to sand back to raw metal.
