It's not designed to power a laptop. It's designed to power an ATX-compliant motherboard.

You might want to read up on the power supply FAQs: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/advfaq.php
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Does the Opus have an anti-thump controller, like the Mx-ATX series?

Yes, there is a delay, so there is no thump.

    Missing the 6 pin harness

I ordered and recieved on of these bad boys several months ago, but I didn't recieve the 6 pin connector harness to wire into the car properly. I made due and threw something together to make it work...but my solution has not been the best (occasionaly wires disconnect/come unplugged).

Seeing as it has been so long since I placed the order, I don't expect any help from the MP3car store. Does anyone have an idea where I can order just the connector/harness? I have looked EVERYWHERE I can think of with no luck.

Hi... it seems its just a 6 pin MOLEX conector, you can buy it at almost any electronics store.!

    Good luck!

Regarding the 6-Pin power connector - it's identical to one end of a standard ATX Power Supply 20-Pin connector. Find a scrap ATX PSU, and take a razor blade to the appropriate end, and presto!
