it depends on the psu, if it can handle 8-16 volts inout: goodie!
if not, a regulating curcuit is a must.

the mpegbox.org psu is a little on the expensive side. It is really small but if you are going to spend that kind of money, I think that the opus power supply would be a better choice. You get a lot more power out of it.

I agree!

I agree as well... The mpegbox one is a nice and small power supply, but for the price that he's charging the opus one is not much more expensive and much more power. With this other power supply out of the caselogic case (only 60W) for $35, I think the mpegbox one is going to need to lower his price substancially. Sure you need a regulator for the caselogic one, but even adding that onto the price is far less than almost any other solution.

i have the caselogic 2677R case and mobo, does the opus fit in it? and is that all i need? can i run wires right from the battery to the opus and thats it? or is there more?
