oh, and just in case, heres my comp specs:
AOpen MiniPC i945GMx-F
Intel Celeron M 440 (Yonah) FSB533 1.86GHz
i have an aopen pc with a carnetix p1900 v2.2 power supply. im pretty sure i have all the connections correct, but for some reason, it doesnt turn on the pc. heres what i have connected:
input side:
i have one red wire connected to the battery with 15amp fuse; one black wire connected to a ground source; yellow connected to the ignition wire; blue, red, black covered with electrical tape
output side(i got the aopen power pack from the site):
one red to pc; one black to pc; one black to acpi(pc)/screen; brown to screen; green to acpi(pc); blue to amp remote; white, and red covered with electrical tape
when i connected it, and turn on the car, the p1900 led lights up twice, then once, then 7 times, then no light. it only happens when i turn it on, or just plug it in. then it remains off. i try to turn on the pc by pressing the power button, but it doesnt turn on still. is there something i didnt do or did wrong?
oh, and just in case, heres my comp specs:
AOpen MiniPC i945GMx-F
Intel Celeron M 440 (Yonah) FSB533 1.86GHz
i tested my battery and it tested out good at 12.77 volts..im still confused
okay..update..so i guess i had the connections wrong..and heres a wiring diagram i found for my pc.
http://www.carnetix.com/p1900/Applic...pplication.htm
so then i rewired it:
input:
2 reds to battery via 15 amp fuse; 2 blacks to ground; yellow to ignition wire(ignition wire from stock harness to stock headunit), blue taped up and closed
output:
red/black to comp; brown/black to screen; red/green/white taped up and closed; green/black adapter to jp3 slot on power supply p1900 to computer acpi; blue wire to amp remote
so i still have the problem which it doesnt light up..and according to the troubleshoot on the installation manual..it says to check the battery..because if its less than 10.6volts then it wont start or light up..but my battery tested at 12.66volts with a full charge, 45% state of health...could it be my ignition switch? is the switch i have no small? when i checked with a multimeter, it showed around 12volts coming out of it too. im so lost and confused! i just need this to turn on then my project is basically done! HELP PLEASE!!
oh..and i found out what those flashing lights meant..its the version of firmware i have which would be 2.7
Have you tried wiring the yellow acc to the + batt as a quick test of the PSU.
no..not yet. would that be something? ill try that tomorrow...so do you think it could just be the ignition wire?
You thought it might be, so that's one way to test around it.
I'd also measure the voltage at the powersupply (with psu on) rather than at the battery as this will give you a good indication if you have voltage loss over your cables. In which case it's time to recheck your power cables, grounds and fuses.
okay..i just tried jumping the ignition wire to the hot, and removed the acpi..still didnt work. i just tested the input of the psu, and it read a nice 12.6 volts..then i tested the output of the psu..and it read a 0.12 volts..that isnt right is it? so does that mean i have a bad psu?
