You lucky dog.
If it works OK, that was xlnt price!
I am an inverter user (check my pc specs), and I am having huge success at it. No buzz or other anooyance, and I don't give a rat's xxx about effiiciency...
My inv is 1kw; much more than necc, I know. just wanted maybe to run power tools, lighting, a blender...
But 150 watts isn't too much. I'm not sure what desktop, if any, you could power with it. You sure could try - the inverter has protection and would only shut down if overloaded.
By the way, I found a remote power switch for my Vector inverter, that I installed in my glovebox. Saves bending down to turn on/off. Also, it's easy to run a wire to pc for mom contact swtch to turn on... Not exactly that the big automated way that some others do it, but it sill is fast, esy, and efficient, once you get the hang of start-up and shut down.
Also, I put my carpc to sleep all day at work, and never have even come close to running batt down. I sorta wish I had an in-line ammeter, just so I could see what curent draw is under various conditions. A neat project for another day.
Happy carpc'ing.![]()
