Current Project= Making skins in photoshop...
Done!
I have uploaded a video to youtube. Unfortunately I have not started the proper install in the car yet as I have still to make the skin for RR. But I hope the Video gives an idee of what you can do. Once installed I will make another video for sure.

I have also made a video of its GPS receiver dead reckoning functionality

The pcb can be assembled for GPS only, IBus 8051 system only (6 output, 3 inputs) or both. IBus does not have to be used, it can work with 12V inputs only for on/off and reverse.
Boot and shutdown timings are configurable via serial interface and hyperterminal or alike. You can have source code to modify too, if you want to. But then you need the $69 IDE from Silabs to be able to reprogram it.
If you want one, let me know. If there is interest I will make a new layout to sort some small issues out, but also to add a second IBus interface so that the PC can use that to get IBus events from. (still a single USB cable, but both GPS and serial COM device on it) I do not know what the price will be as I will only check that out if there is a reason :-)
Utube links don't work for me..........
MINI COOPER S PRO
I think that youtube just wasn't done converting.
Ok now

This is it, fully assembled.
Extra connector for inputs when used in non-BMW car witout IBus.
Mount angles can be put inwards instead of outwards
Last problems have been sorted and I will now send the second module to street97f who has helped me out greatly with this!

Can you get one?
I have ordered 10 gyros and if 5 people wanta a unit I will make new pcb's correcting the layout problems of this first 2 and also add a second IBus interface. One is there for the module already, this second one will be for the PC.
Edit:
Fixed prices. (IBus is some BMW's only)
Powercontrol with IBus and GPS (full system) €358 -> 239
Powercontrol with IBus without GPS €163 -> 109
Powercontrol without IBus but GPS €338 -> 219
Powercontrol without IBus without GPS €144 -> 99
Only GPS €314 -> 199
/Edit
Last pcb's works fine as GPS with DR
At the moment I have a few pcb's left that I can build GPS only units for at 100€ with gyro (gyro is 60$ + p&p) but without the gps module. No box. Some people have found the GPS module dead cheap on eBay so that is why I do not include it. I can if you want at extra 50£ (sorry for mixing currensies)
PM me!
Well done, looks amazing!![]()
yeah, very nice project , but you spent way too much on those components and pcb.
I can make that pcb for $20....what do you think ?
Yes I have paid a lot buying parts in low quantity from the wrong places and also lots of p&p. (considering the manhours I've spent (~400) I have not bothered until now)
Only way to make sense of this is to make more units at once.
For the pcb I paid 500$ for ten.
If I make more I will have to shop around for better prices. Where do you get a 75x103mm two layer pcb at 20$?
Someone found the GPS at 5£ at eBay which is a tenth of what I paid.
But I don't know. Interest seems to be low. Well, I will make one more u-tube to show what the powercontrolling part of it does for you. Next week.
