    Powering a camcorder with P1900

I am looking to power my Sharp camcorder in the car. I have a P1900 powering my mac mini and screen. I found i can record straight to the mini through iMovieHD through firewire. I would like to be able to record some driving at the track and around town. Anyway anyone ever powered a camcorder off a carpc power supply. I'm guessing i can power it just like my lilliput lcd. The home power supply shows it puts out 10V so i don't want to fry the camcorder with 12-13V. Thanks

Well i think you answered your own question. The PSU puts out 12VDC and the cam requires 10VDC.

U can power it if you drop the 12V down to 10V. Dont know if 2 volts would harm the cam though.

Yea i was just wondering if anyone had done it. I'll search on how to drop the voltage unless you could fill me in.
