    Hey FusionFanatic, Is this the way I wire the switch if I was looking at it upside down?

    Dpdt Sw?

    IF it is a DPDT and you move one wire it will do what you want. If you use a DPDT with center off position you add the function of never turn on.

    Well I just done soldering the switch, will give it a go tomorrow at lunch.

    Thank you too for your help FusionFanatic, I have the switch and led in the center console.

    I'm going to try to make a better diagram of the one I have. That way it's easy for the next person that wants to do this.

    I modified the diagram I made for post#18. instead of using schematic switch symbols, it has the switch leads like you see it from the bottom of the switch. this uses a standard DPDT-C/O toggle switch.



    it's basically the same thing as your diagram Soloxp, just much cleaner LOL ... (next time you make a diagram in mspaint; use shapes and lines, not the paintbrush ).
