    Question Baffled

I am lost now. I have read through it, and it seems to have made me more confused than earlier. I live in texas. Temperatures reach 100 degrees F and higher. The case I bought comes with a 300W power supply. I am using on board graphics and sound. Whats the best PSU for me?

You dont use the 300W AC-DC that came with the case. You buy a DC-DC as explained in the link that will handle your system.

100F is nothing, you will be fine.

DSATX, M2atx, opus, the list goes on and on...........................

You have to look them up (search or check out the mpscar store), check out the specs and prices, use the power calculator on this site and make your decision from there.

Anyone who says they can pick one out for you is blowwing smoke up your you-know-what................

Or you can just go big right out of the box and buy a 320w opus or 220w DSATX.

    Just remeber:

The words "cheapest" and "best" are usually positioned at opposite ends of the quality spectrum.

    Cheers

    Micro ATX

If it says ATX Compatible, will it work with Micro ATX boards as well?

ATX in power supplies refers to the 20/24 pin connector.

ATX as in uATX, is the physical size of the motherboard and has nothing to do with power.
