Have you written in to "Pimp my Ride" yet? Maybe they can help you finish it, and then you wouldn't have to worry about hittin' up ol' dad for the bill. I'm sure they could come up with something for your kart.

Maybe even point them to this thread and they might have a better chance of choosin you... out of pitty.

i think i'll just give up on it for now until i have $800 for the motor and batteries

One fillup, 2 hours driving, and motor weighs about 6kg.

ok if you plan on spending over 200 bucks to build a go-kart then you may as well buy an already built go-kart that can go like 30 to 40...not 10 mph...and you dont have to scrounge for parts and put it together. If you are looking to put one together then buy a kit. It will still be cheaper and give you more performance.

what if i buy a motor that goes faster like maybe 50 or so?
