Laptop car charger directly to battery?

Hey everybody, i have a lilliput and and hp laptop. I have car chargers for both (that plug into the cig lighter). Basically id like to know if i could just cut the end of both adapters and connected them directly, ( to the cig lighter or the battery...whichever). The idea is i dont want anything plugged into or hanging from the cig ligher because my car is a JDM/euro Honda accord and the position of the cig lighter isnt good.

Thanks to everyone on the forum for all the help

It depends on whether or not any conversion or filtering is done within the plug for the laptop. Your lilliput should run off of straight 12V, so you can cut the end off that one and wire it directly.

You can also hardwire an extra cig socket and hide it under the dash or seat somewhere.

dont hardwire to the car battery, you jun the risc of a flat if left for a long period of time. you can splice and joun the two leads easily, just dont mix the polarity.
