How is it wired up?

Do you have +12v, GND and IGN connected to the appropriate lines? Where do you have each one connected?
Do you have the 2-wire lead going to the power button headers of your Mac mini?
Are you using hte "Mac PAc" cable kit or did you cobble this connection together on your own?
How are the jumpers set on the P2140?

Sorry Sorry so yes the PSU is hooked on the car`s 12 v battery both red wires and also the ground cables are on the car`s ground and the ignition is hooked on the radio ignition cable . the Pulse Start input wire (blue one) I`m not using it . on the other side I`m using the mac pac but I did not connect the Y-cable adapter because i lost it to be honest . the secondary output (brown w black ) I`m using it for my lilliput screen and it`s set to 12 v . I also attached some pics so u can see the jumper settings . thank u for the quick reply .

2 - That little Y-cable is supposed to be wired to the power switch headers on the mainboard of the Mac Mini. This is what simulates the power switch being pressed to initiate bootup.

That said, the jumper settings appear to be correct based on the manual, but I have one question. Do you have an Intel Mac Mini? Your jumpers are set for an Intel Mac Mini, and I just want to verify that is correct.

Thank you again , and yes I have a mini mac intel . Just measured the ignition cable and there is nothing over 1V with or without the car running (it gives me some crazy nr and it supposed to be 12 v with the car on )so there is one of my problems , I`ll try to find another source for the IGN ( like the lighter ) . but what can I do about the y cable can i use something else or I need to order a new mac pac?

Having the same problem with the same setup. Jumpers are set for Intel Mac Mini and 18.5 v. Ignition wire was hooked up but removed it to troubleshoot, will it still come on if the button is pressed on the computer itself? Ignition wire is attached to a wire that measures 12v when car is on and drops back to 0 when car is off, the red wires are both hooked to a constant 12 v source and the blue pulse start is not connected. The "y" is connected and i get power when I bring it in the house but not when in the car.
