    12v 5a regulator for cheap?

HAs anyone found a cheap regulator to power the DC-DC board in the 2699 case? i would rather buy one than learn to build it myself. thanks

Personally I am not aware of any such product. And if you find one, it's not likely to be cheap. I would suggest to only regulate te 12V lines needed by the harddrives and such, so you need only 2 amps or so.

(This is something I once promised to work for, but so far very little promising results, even less time, and a new car power supply to work on I will continue on it though, cause I need it to power my LCD monitor (12V@1A))

I don't believe anyone has found one.

Those regulators are unsuitable for a car environment where the voltage may drop below 12V at times.
