    Wiring for two power sources

Maybe someone can help me out. I want to have a switch in my car that will allow me to plug in my car at my house so I can work on it and the PC without running down my battery and burning gas, while also allowing me to keep everything plugged into my inverter and not having to unplug anything.
    Any suggestions?

So the computer is running off of a standard ac power cable running to an inverter?

If true, this is pretty simple.
You need to get a DPDT switch, and wire it so that the output side goes to all the electronics to plug in and one of the sets of input terminals goes to a wire which you connect to the inverter and the other set of input terminals goes to a wire which you have the option to plug into your house.

Ok I have a dpdt switch, how do I wire it? But the looks, it only has one input and two outputs.

Yeah DPDT switches can be wired in either direction depending on what you want to do.
Glad to hear you got it working.
