Powering 2x 32'' LCD screens simultaneously - I need some guidance!

    Hi all,
Im currently in the process of warming up for the installation(and powering)of 2 32'' LCD displays in multiple cars and I think I need some help here. I'm pretty sure I have to get a hold of PURE SINE WAVE converter with 40A rating. Will the LCD work well with modified wave? what inverter would you recommend?

The screens should both be powered on and off at the same time and Ill need a power of around 500w-700w to do it properly, so I would say a worthy power inverter is a must and due to the value of the screens I would like to take care of them as much as I can so Im also looking for a shut down controller that can handle this. Is it safe to power the LCD screens on and off constantly via the car ignition?

Has anyone powered such big equipment from a car battery before?

I know its a big question but Im open to all your opinions and help, Im preparing in advance before the big install project comes up and need the guidance and product suggestions( such as power inverters and shutdown controllers) I need to buy for my needs prior to the deadline. Also any reccomendations or words of wisdom you might have will be great

Best regards and appreciate your help!

I've done one 22" accel before, and yes, I did use a pure sine wave inverter. If you don't, you'll end up with lines in the display. I can't remember which model exactly I used, but I was powering up a xbox 360 also, so I used a 800 watt one.

That is some serious amperage, are you sure your alternator can handle it?
If not I'd say upgrade the alt and the 'big three' more like the big four since the inverter will need some big copper.

Inverts of this size will have some sophisticated power control ( low voltage switch to pwm shut off pin ) If you hack into that switch with a bosch type relay you can then control it from the acc signal.

You should also not have to worry about the low voltage shut down since these inverters will do that as well.

Are you sure about the power requirements of your LCD's?
    This might help...
