And another one with reception issues....
Am I correct in stating that the general concensus is that it's the M2atx is THE issue?
If so, what would be the best replacement?
And if I would have to replace my M2atx, would there still be a possibility to switch my PC on/off based on ignition status?
You are going to get 100 people swear by Opus. I am considering trying one.

Add me to the list.
I tried to get some help and offered some of my troubleshooting exercises in the Road Runner forum...
And here is another thread where someone was having the same trouble...
But THIS thread looks like the place to be. I'll post my continued troubleshooting here and watch with great interest the rest of yours.
I did the test... using the Directed unit without switching on the pc. Result, excellent reception, great quality sound, RDS working flawless. Even without an amplified antenna, reception is still perfect. I have also noticed that my (company) laptop does not cause any interference! Can even put my laptop against the Directed unit and it still works!!
Guess my only option now is to find me a new PSU......
Looks like the Opus is the other choice. Which $uck$, since I designed my entire system around the specific components I had.

I believe it is a combination of both radio antenna type (amplified) and PSU. Simple solution is a different brand of PSU unless ituner wants to redesign/fix their PSU.
i have an m4-atx with same problems...
tried nearly everything...if car pc is on, FM radio is impossible in a range of about 1,5m around the PSU.
last week i tried to rf shield the entire psu, see pic. Helped absolutely nothing.
When carPC is supplied via normal ATX AC/DC PSU i can hear radio fine.
see my carputer here: click
just bought the OPUS DCX3 online. will let you know if this works and doesn't interfere with my fm band like my M2atx
I'm ready to spring for one, too. Problem is it looks like the one available on mp3car.com does NOT have the 4-pin plug for a P4 style mobo. The only place I've seen one that does is direct from Opus for $120.
