Thread: Morex 5677 Mini-ITX Case in store - what PSU is included?

Apparently on the page you pointed out, the words " M2-ATX" happen to be a blind/invisible link.

Perhaps someone running the store can fix it with a highlight?

so that does include the power supply ? Cos that alone is 75.00 ? So 10.00 extra for the case ?

So... I guess I was right to be suspicious. My big box of parts arrived yesterday. I ordered the case with PSU. And the PSU is most certainly NOT the M2-ATX. Just a heads-up to anyone else ordering this. The included PSU comes with a big AC adapter and does not have provisions for ignition on/off switching.

The Morex cases typically come with a 12V @ 5A (60 Watt) power brick and a PS board that uses that REGULATED 12V to run from. You can't feed your car's 12V into it, as that is UNregulated.

Exactly - the M2-ATX does not come with the Morex 5677. The photo was provided to show people how they could use the case.

I hope that this was not a big surprise - if it was and the case is new, you can return it and we will refund you and not charge the 15% restocking fee. Just email the store and quote me. Clearly we need a better description regarding the PSU that does come with the box, thanks for pointing it out.

Also - we will be offering the Morex 5677 w/o PSU at a reduced price once we get them in stock again in a few weeks.

Thanks for offering to accept it back, but it's only $10 more so I don't think it would be worth it to ship it back from Canada. I already built my PC in it anyway. I'll just save up some more $ and buy the M2-ATX when I can.

I certainly do agree that there needs to be some clarification - it's better now, when I first saw it and started this thread, the "power supply specifications" section wasn't even there, which is why I was confused. But it certainly needs to be made clear that the included PSU is not intended/suitable for car use.

One good thing I now know from this is that I can run my entire setup on 60W, though.
