I posted this in the faq, but this might be better.
I have the P1290 in the car, and it started acting up.
When I turn the ignition, I hear a "beep" from the pc starting up... 3-4 seconds later it dies completely!
I pulled out the wires that starts the pc via ignition, and now I have to turn on the car, go to the boot and press the power button on the pc. This works fine, but it's incredibly annoying...
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
If not, I'll have to take a couple of wires and do a "power on" button, that can be used from the drivers seat...

My thought exactly, tried it on a 12V in the house, but I could not identify the code that my P1290 put out, so I decided that I'd just live with it.
I then decided to get the whole system in the car today, and live with the fact that I had to turn on the pc manually!
Low and behold, everything works... *LOL*
Dunno why, and I don't care... It works!
I turn the ignition, and the pc starts up like it's supposed to!
But thx for the advice though!![]()
