    shutdown controller question

    I kno you guys are gonna yell at me but i searched for this and coudl not fidn it but i kno it is somewhere..but what is everything that a shutdown controller does?? i dont understadn the concept of one..it is not really stated what they do

    they make a simulated "power button" press when it sens that there's no more IGN. (when the car is of) .. this way the computer can go into hibernation, STR mode, or a complete shutdown, when you turn of the car.
