I am designing a computer for my truck. Here's what i have so far.
ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Probally throw a 3.0ghz processor in it, 4gig ram, 320gb drive.
Truck will have all the bells and whistles dual monitors (one for gauges).
My only question now is what kind of power supply. Finding a case is hard enough finding one to fit a power supply is impossible.
So does anyone have any suggestions on a power supply solution?
How's about:

If you want high power, you gotta pay.
RevFE - Super fast, modular frontend. Most powerful skinning engine in existence. Strong enough for an i7 made for a fitpc.Originally Posted by mitchjs
Just a shame I can't justify a carpc to use it on anymore.
And deal with the lack of "advanced" functionality suck as startup/shutdown controller or programmability & monitoring capabilities of some units.
Opus did make an 150w unit that was designed for a Shuttle brand cube-style case, but I am pretty certain that it was unique to Shuttle brand cases.
I also don't know if they still make it.

i think most people make their own cases, or install their power supplies in designated areas they wont get damaged.
and are you set on your CPU? if you go with a 35w cpu you can have an entire system that draws less then 120w... which means a smaller cheaper power supply. youre not going to game much anyway with onboard video, so the cpu isnt as important either. having a 65w or more cpu is really a waste in a carpc
darque's point was that your question could easily be answered with aand a tape measure-- all power supplies list dimensions--
and yes, some here are not too crazy about spoon-feeding.

i think traders idea's i never thought of making a case. i dont knwo why but yea it would be easy enough. no i am not set on that board but a dudy built a system with one and man was it sexy. plus i am going to be doing alittle more than everyone eles just wanted to make sure i had enough. i am open to suggestions anytime tho
o i have a tape and googled like crazy but none of the cases i found have room for a power supply (other than the one that comes with it) and yes i have measured that and a power supply wont fit
