The gf wants one, but just a char LCD version just to play MP3's. HEy, it's what she wants.

However I am building 2 for the guys @ the install shop that's building my new bezel and center console. Those guys are getting Opus's (they're paying for them so...).

Me building carputer + them paying for the parts = custom pieces done for cost of materials.

I've updated more information about Arise and my power calculator.

So is there anyone in the US willing to organize this? I would, as I said, but unfortunately Canadian duty/taxes will add like 10% to the price. <grumble grumble>

How many people are interested so far?

I would organize if i could get one for next to free for me I only say that cause it sounds like a lot of work to have to ship all these out individually package and address them. That and i dont have much money.

But thats my offer if no one else comes up with anything!

Yep, I'm interested in one! What's the latest? If the group buy falls through then it may be worth passing the details on to Ultim8te PC in the UK. I've spoken to him about it and he may be keener if they're supplying the units with cables. But there may still be a problem with PFC -- all PSUs sold in Europe need to have PFC and I don'g believe this model does...

I think I would be in for this one. I might even organize it depending on the cost and stuff. Perhaps we should start a new thread that lists the specs + approximate cost and ask only those serious in buying to respond once to the thread. Those who would consider doing the group purchase should also specifiy that in the post. Once the number reaches the minimum then everyone is considered locked into buying the unit.

So whoever had the details on the group buy can you start a new thread with the details plus approximate cost? Maybe factor in the cost for shipping for whoever will be doing the group buy.

As usual this always goes on trust and such so nobody should burn anyone.

I would be interested, I have a sproggy 2.6 (not installed yet) would it be able to power a P3 550, probably only a 5400rpm drive, dvdrom, 802.11g card, am/fm tuner, and a gps?

I think it should be able to, how many watts does it provide? I can't recall.

If it can't power it all, then I'm interested.

well like i said a few posts back i would organize it for a really good deal on mine
I think its worth that to whoever does it, cause it will be a lil time consuming.

i hate to send out packages but it would help me out
i do pack nice and promptly ...

i think USPS Priority is affordable and quick!!

Btw, where are they in CA? I wonder if I could just go and pick one up

    That would be awesome
