Looks interesting. I might buy this if I can figure out which wire is the lock/unlock wire on my aftermarket alarm. Seems simple enough to install and pretty cheap.

Oh yeah, it is set up for momentary inputs, so a constant trigger won't work. The input can do single wire toggle though. AUX could be used to toggle it on/off. Or like I mentioned AUX and lock for on and off, or unlock and lock, or AUX to toggle and lock for off, or whatever.
Do you have a DMM? I've been looking at different manuals, but some look like translations with very little explanations. The ones on compustar just say 1/2 second button press, but also say they are for window rollup modules and such which take a negative pulse.
So if you have an aftermarket alarm that has AUX, would you still need a device similar to this to turn your computer on/off?
Well, trader007 mentioned using a relay and a couple of diodes. His is constant. I'm not sure how it turns off though. It may require pressing the button again before or after starting the car.
Well I got it in the mail already, great service by the way. I will hopefully get a chance to install it soon. I will let you know
