Noob asks: How many times can I split power off a molex connector?

I have a 160w M2ATX power supply. Using this set up, I am able to power my 7" Lilliput touchscreen. Actually, the guy who sold the carpc to me had already done that part and I think I understand how he did it.

But now I have a new device (MJS's SC-C1 USB Interface) that I want to power off my power supply. Can I simply split the power off the molex being used to power my touchscreen?

If so, how many times can I do this? Is it limited by the amount of power draw of all the items I'm running?

    42 and bring a towel...

Correct, you are limited. How many? Depends on your psu...

I'm going out on a limb and say yes you can run both your screen and the MJS's, I had a m2 it did fine till it died, never had the MJS so really cant say much on that...

but just wait someone else will come along tell me I'm retarded and correct me...

    ...remember always bring a towel...

You can easily split off the Molex connector, however with the M2 you have to watch your voltage. I use a M2 in my car for a 80W MB my 8W Lilliput, and my SC-C1 and the USB interface with no issues. Really you need to make sure that you have a nice efficient motherboard to know how many other thing you can use before you start to overload the M2

Thanks, Meryan and SJ. Meryan, it sounds like you set up a similar system. Did you have any problems with the SCC1 interface or anything you would have done differently?
