I am also using an inverter.
I took of the cigerete lighter plug already on it and put some crocodile clips on the ends instaed and just connected it directly to the battery. (This was just to test it mainly)
I have it working of the battery but from what i can tell you should only realy have it on when the engine is running. If you only have the inverter directly connected to the car battery you have to turn the computer on manualy and just turning the engine off will not turn the computer off as it is still getting a good current from the battery.
I also would like to know the best way of wiring the carputer up aswell - I am happy that my inverter and carputer now work together so would prefer to have it come on when i turn the key in my car.
What are the best ways to do this??
Another problem with the way mine is wired at the moment is that when I turn the engine on the screen gets lines down it (like interferance or a shaky voltage is going into the carputer) Is there a way to stop this??? - Somehow making sure a constant 12V supply go's to the inverter??
n e how many questions there
Hope somone can help
